Puja is head of external innovation for New York Life Ventures. She is responsible for developing partnerships with thought leaders, academics, and the startup ecosystem to unlock new opportunities and explore emerging technologies. She advises on the development of the Ventures’ innovation strategy and the external branding strategy.

Puja has spent 15 years in financial services. Prior to NYLV, she was with Citi Ventures as part of the founding team for the firm's first incubator program, D10X. Puja was responsible for designing and implementing strategic growth initiatives, overseeing business ideas enterprise-wide, and serving as the primary interface with all key internal business and functional partners. She has also developed and executed global programs and platforms across Compliance while working for the office of the Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to Citigroup she spent time at SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance where managed the strategic and operational planning process for the CEO. Her experience also includes work with McKinsey & Company.
