COO, GoodOps | Supply Chain Transformation: Innovation, Technology, Sustainability

Richard is an Unreasonable Mentor. Richard was part of Unreasonable Impact Americas 2018, and has advised over 12 Unreasonable companies.
Richard is the Co-Founder and COO of GoodOps, the supply chain transformation company. He specializes in transforming supply chain networks to drive business growth through the integration of strategy, innovation, technology and sustainability. In a rapidly changing terrain, GoodOps ensures companies build a competitive advantage while creating a better future.
Richard brings deep experience partnering with senior leaders across a diverse range of global companies from Fortune 500s to high-growth, venture-backed startups. Most recently as the COO of GoodOps, he developed the transformation strategy and launched the innovation program for one of the world’s largest distribution companies, including exploration and pilot testing of advanced technologies such as autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, IoT and blockchain. Tied to this work, he was a speaker at the 2017 Automated Vehicles Symposium and co-authored the chapter on Autonomous Trucks in Road Vehicle Automation 5 which is available on Amazon. He also designed the global supply chain sustainability framework and impact measurement platform for a high-growth, ecommerce fashion brand. This included analysis of over 400 standards, codes and associations to identify the critical environmental, social and governance levers that would drive positive change across the fashion industry, and implementing a unique approach to on-the-ground supplier audits across the U.S., Africa and Latin America. The resulting framework, and consumer facing mark that transparently publishes audit results and the wages of supply chain workers, was recently profiled in Fast Company.
In addition, he has led strategic planning, innovation and organizational design on complex global consulting projects for companies such as Danone, Alpha Industries, Make Up For Ever and SodaStream. When GOOD magazine launched their new platform, Richard was a Social Innovation Curator and sparked their partnership with Al Gore's Climate Reality Project. He also developed and launched Impactor, a community workshop series, in partnership with the former head of external affairs at Google and founder of The Workshop, a leading brand experience agency. At every workshop he facilitates a group of industry leaders that come together to generate actionable solutions for the biggest challenges facing an emerging social enterprise.
Richard’s ability to quickly and effectively align an organization’s stakeholders around a vision, strategy and roadmap for transformation has led to sustainable growth, risk mitigation and streamlined operations.
In 2014, Richard was selected as one of GOOD Magazine’s GOOD 100, honoring 100 people moving the world forward. He has also been a featured speaker/facilitator at Summit Series, Nexus Global Summit, PTTOW!, Tony Hsieh’s Downtown Project and The National Innovation Summit for Arts + Culture. He holds a BA in Economics from Colgate University, and resides in Brooklyn with his wife, Co-Founder and CEO, Divya, and their baby girl, Arya.
