Rob is a technologist, engineer, serial entrepreneur, angel investor, advisor, coach, and father of two small kids who remind him daily that his past is mostly irrelevant to their future.
Rob is currently developing and facilitating innovation programs for the Nomura-SRI-Innovation-Center (NSIC), is a venture partner for an AI Safety fund at Lionheart Ventures, and is an active coach and consultant on innovation for a variety of large and small companies.
Previously as Associate Founder and CEO of Singularity University, Rob developed an extraordinary global network of changemakers as well as tools and programs for technological disruption, global entrepreneurship, social impact investing, the future of education, transformation of work, innovative diversity, robots, AI advisors, and the ethics of technology.
Rob was a public director at Harman (HAR), co-founder and CEO of Velocity11 (robotics for cancer research and drug discovery - acquired by Agilent Technologies), is a member of the 100Coaches (Marshall Goldsmith’s leadership cohort), and holds degrees in Mechanical, Materials Science and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from UC Davis and Stanford University.
