Ryan Metzger

Not satisfied with current options for getting rid of things around his home, Ryan and his son Owen started a neighborhood project in their Seattle neighborhood that showed thousands how easy and fun it could be to keep things from landfills. Several years later, their efforts are having a larger impact than they ever imagined, now serving well over 100,000 people and diverting over 33 million pounds of material to trusted reuse and recycling partners. Ryan holds a BA and an MBA from Northwestern University and held marketing roles at Madrona Venture Group, zulily, and Microsoft.
