Over the last 20 years as an entrepreneur, Ryan has been in the trenches of growing and eventually selling his company. Along the way, he has gained experience including: motivating and providing vision to the team, growing from a product to an organization, failing forward, managing a board, getting to plan b, managing cash flow, making tough decisions, managing conflict with co-founders and executives, managing growth, executing layoffs, etc. In many cases, Ryan has done it the wrong way and is eager to share how to avoid the same pitfalls!

Ryan was cofounder of Lumerit Education, that provided college advising and coaching services through a high-tech/high-touch platform in both B2B and B2C channels. As President, Ryan led the negotiation of a successful acquisition of Lumerit by Pearson Education in 2019 and now serves as Vice President in Pearson's Accelerated Pathways division.
