Samara is an Unreasonable Fellow. Samara was part of Unreasonable GOALS 2017.
Samara Werner is co-founder and CEO of Tamboro, an innovative educational company that uses a game-based learning platform to teach social and emotional learning (SEL) skills. Samara founded Tamboro on the premise that education systems needed to become more connected with the challenges of our century. Prior to founding Tamboro, Samara worked for ten years as Director of Education of Oi Futuro Institute. She was responsible for the creation of several award-winning projects, including NAVE, a school and research center for the improvement of education in Brazil. She has also worked as engineer in Furnas Centrais Elétricas, a Brazilian electric power company. Samara is a board member of Igarapé Institute (an independent think and do tank devoted to evidence-based policy and action on complex security, justice and development challenges in Brazil, Latin America, and Africa) and a former board member of GIFE (the Brazilian Private Social Investment Association). Samara is trained as an engineer in UERJ and has a post-graduation in System Analysis at PUC-Rio.
