Unreasonable Mentors

VC fundraising at Narrative

Sander is an Unreasonable Mentor.
I help European tech founders raise venture capital investment rounds through highly curated investor matching and structured deal strategy. My work leads to faster access to Director and Partner-level VCs, stronger investor-fit, and cleaner deals that avoid costly mistakes later. Selectively, I help (emerging) fund managers raise capital from LPs or help entrepreneurs with exits/ M&A. If you’re preparing to raise or are already in-market and want to find out how I can help, send me a message.
I'm a generalist with a background in industrial design engineering from Delft University of Technology and complementary educations in innovation management and finance. I'm comfortable with high levels of abstraction, greatly enjoy pattern recognition and am able to quickly evaluate the potential of new technologies, businesses and teams. ENFJ, contrarian and stoic are some typologies that describe me best.
Fascinated by all things new product/ service development, technology and venture capital. Nearly two decades of venture capital experience allowed me to engage with over 2,000 founders as both VC investor and independent agent -- which I've always considered a luxury.
Based in Amsterdam, I enjoy life with my wife, children and dog Tony, where I like to wind down in our kitchen with early 90s NYC Hip Hop music. I'm an avid Yin yogi, Muay Thai kickboxer and two-time Ironman 70.3 Finisher.
