Shuchin Bajaj is deeply committed to making healthcare accessible to those who need it most. As the Founder Director of Ujala Cygnus Healthcare, he has built a network of 23 hospitals across small towns and rural regions in North India, where access to quality medical care is often limited. By introducing services like cardiology, critical care, and cancer treatment in underserved areas, Shuchin and his team are working to bridge the gap in healthcare equity.
His work extends beyond clinical care. Through initiatives like Sehat Chaupals, he focuses on preventive healthcare, empowering rural communities to prioritize early detection and awareness. For Shuchin, the goal has always been to ensure that people don’t have to choose between quality care and affordability.
Shuchin has also had the opportunity to collaborate with global and local networks, sharing lessons learned and supporting others working on innovative solutions to address healthcare challenges.
Shuchin has been recognized for his impact as the Global Social Entrepreneur of the Year by the Schwab Foundation and World Economic Forum. He is also a Senior Fellow at Aspen New Voices and has completed leadership programs at Stanford, INSEAD, and King’s College London.
