Simon Clark

Investor, Senior Advisor at Generation Investment Management

Simon is an Unreasonable Mentor. Simon was part of Unreasonable GOALS 2017, and has advised over 16 Unreasonable companies.
Simon Clark is qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse, and he worked in finance and technology for Reuters in London, Paris, Milan and New York — including taking them online and building Reuters.com — before joining TheStreet.com, a startup online financial news company, as CFO. Clark took the company to IPO and then joined Fidelity as a VC. He started their London venture office and ended up running the European fund, investing in growth-stage companies across the continent and building an investing team before retiring in 2014. Clark also chaired the British Venture Capital Association, representing the venture and private equity industry and promoting growth policies to the UK government and to the EU. Since then, he has been helping Generation Investment Management, the sustainability firm, with their growth equity fund. Clark recently moved to D.C. to work on entrepreneurship promotion, particularly in those parts of America that have not benefited from the move to a globally-connected, digital and low-carbon economy.
