I am currently the Head of Financial Control of Barclays India. I am a qualified chartered accountant. I graduated in commerce with a major in accountancy. In my 11 years of experience- I started off in ICICI and then moved to Barclays and have been here ever since. In my 10 years in Barclays I have moved around different roles ranging between accounting i.e. preparation of the financials, regulatory reporting, capital and exposure management for the bank. My job description also includes managing various audits like the statutory audit that makes us liaise with the likes of PWC, KPMG etc, regulatory audit i.e. with Reserve Bank of Indi (RBI) and various other internal or concurrent audits. Outside if work I love reading (mainly fiction) and doing fun stuff with my daughter. My life’s philosophy is ‘aim for the stars, you might not get them but you won’t come back with dust either.’
