Sofie Allert is the co-founder and CEO of Swedish Algae Factory. Sofie has a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Business design from Chalmers University of Technology. Swedish Algae Factory was founded based on her and her co-founder Angela Wulffs passion for making use of a natural resource that can create a lot of sustainable value for society, algae. The company was founded whilst Sofie was conducting her Master´s Thesis. Sofie has been talking about Swedish Algae Factory at UN and OECD events and has been pitching the company towards several awards, most recently the win in the prestigous green start-up challenge Postcode Lotteries Green Challenge in 2019.
