Sonia Hunt is a tech marketing executive, TEDx Speaker, best-selling author, and food allergy activist. Sonia is passionate about human connection and creating products that drive positive health changes in people’s lives. Over her 20-year career in digital media technology, she has been focused on growing market share by developing omnichannel marketing strategies that deliver transformed customer experiences, deepen loyalty and accelerate customer’s lifetime value. Sonia has had the pleasure of working with global luxury brands such as Apple, TiVo, and Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE with whom she won the WWD Digital Innovator of the Year Award in 2015.
Sonia is currently the Senior Vice President of Nexstar Media, Inc., the largest local television broadcasting company in the United States. Formerly she was the Chief Growth Officer at Bio-Botanical Research, a holistic wellness CPG company, and Chief Customer Officer of Califia Farms, a natural beverage company whose mission is to bring consumers delicious and mindful nourishment through plant-based lifestyle products. Through her leadership she has generated $1B+ in annual revenues, accelerated profitable customer growth by 50% month over month through the creation of experiential programs, increased conversion 200% by establishing targeted digital marketing strategies and programs, and taken multiple companies from inception through go-to-market, raising over $500M in venture funding.
In 2010, Sonia created Warriors of Wellness, a digital wellness brand focused on helping a young generation with food allergies to Be Healthy, Be Safe + Be Well™ (her mantra). In 2015, Sonia was honored to give a TEDx Talk about her brand and experience living and thriving with food allergies, which would form the basis of her first book, NUT JOB: How I Crushed My Food Allergies To Thrive, published in August 2021.
