Sophie Thomson is a Senior Publisher at Pearson where she is Product Manager for the Bug Club reading brand, which is the UK’s market leading print and digital reading program. She has worked in educational publishing for the past 10 years, publishing both academic pedagogical theory and practical teaching resources for classroom use. She passionately believes that literacy opens opportunities and is the gateway to further learning, and regards reading as an experience everyone should have access to no matter their age or situation. Sophie is particularly interested in issues of reader engagement and motivation, and how technology can enhance and improve learning experiences.
