Unreasonable Mentors
Tamara Baker
Interim COO, 17 Triggers
Tamara is an Unreasonable Mentor. Tamara was part of Unreasonable Impact Asia Pacific 2017, and has advised over 14 Unreasonable companies.
Tamara has an innate ability to envision and implement strategies that get big ideas to succeed. She focuses on building the strategic, operational, and people foundations necessary for successful growth and scale of for- and non-profit organizations. As a leader with high emotional intelligence, she creates collaborative and performance driven teams and organizations. As Global Director of the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) business unit for iDE, she created and led the business unit, going from start‐up to global scale in four years, resulting in a $35M portfolio, $15M in sales revenue, operations across 7 countries in Asia and Africa, 200+ staff, and impacted the lives of 2,000,000+ people living at the base of the pyramid. Recognized as a ‘game changer’ by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and winning five international awards for design and innovation, Tamara brings a user and design-centric approach to her work. After a year long ‘radical sabbatical’ in 2016 where she scaled the Himalayas, danced on the playa at Burning Man, and ogled penguins in Patagonia, Tamara is back at it working as a Growth and Scale Coach helping purpose driven organizations achieve their Big Hairy Audacious Goals.
