Tim Brown

Inspired by the diverse ecosystem of the Great Lakes region, Tim began his career as an environmentalist and hasn't looked back. He's worked on a broad range of pollution prevention and toxic reduction projects in both the nonprofit and for profit sectors. Most recently, Tim was the co-founder and CEO of Tradewater, a Certified B Corporation that collects, controls, and destroys superpollutant greenhouse gases such as old refrigerants and methane. Tradewater creates high value carbon offset credits to help companies mitigate their climate impacts in both the compliance and voluntary markets. Tim has stepped down as CEO and now serves as Board Advisor. He is shifting focus to new work seeking to scale the elimination of superpollutant emissions and reducing greenhouse gas and ecosystem impacts from agriculture. He is engaged in new enterprise development to achieve these impact goals. Tim has has served on a number of boards for environmental, community development, art, special education, and philanthropic organizations.
