Tim is an Unreasonable Mentor.
Tim draws upon extensive experience operating, advising and investing in technology, media, information, payments and business services companies. 
 
Until recently he was an EVP/COO of AOL/Yahoo during the turnaround of AOL, sale to Verizon, and the subsequent acquisition of Yahoo to create Oath (now renamed Verizon Media). Particular areas of focus included strategy, M&A integration, search, analytics, yield management, sales and media operations and consumer research.
 
Before this Tim spent eight years in growth equity investment, working hands-on with entrepreneurial CEO’s to accelerate growth and build companies through the use of information and technology-enabled business models. Previously, he also served as Vice President at American Express where he worked on business strategy and led the development of their merchant internet servicing platform, and was a partner at Mercer Management Consulting, where he advised clients on multiple aspects business strategy, including assessing the rise of the internet for telecommunications and media companies.
 
Tim has a B.A in Natural Sciences, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Metallurgy from the University of Cambridge, UK; and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
 
He enjoys travel, photography and a busy family life based in New York.
