Tony is the Portfolio & Investment Selection Principal at Unreasonable Group. He supports the sourcing and selection of ventures for Unreasonable's programs and conducts due diligence for Unreasonable's syndicate investments.
Tony has over 8 years of investment experience spanning venture capital, private credit, and investment banking. He's been with Unreasonable Group for 3 years, most recently leading diligence for a high-net-worth community within Unreasonable, investing over $4M via SPVs into notable companies such as unspun, Dispatch Goods, and Craif. In this role, he was solely responsible for the entire diligence process and LP management.
Prior to his work in venture, Tony was an investor at Penfund, a private capital firm with $2.5 billion in AUM. There, he focused on deep operational and financial diligence, deploying over $350M across the healthcare, automotive, and financial sectors. His work involved analyzing unit-level economics to underwrite performance and investigating the quality of a company's earnings. He began his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at TD Securities, where he advised on major technology and data center transactions, including a $700+ million sale of data centers. In this role, he worked closely with management teams to build complex financial models.
Tony has completed all three levels of the CFA program and holds a Specialist degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto.
