Snact

Snact has been acquired.

Fighting food waste with delicious snacks from unwanted or surplus food produce, saving over 100 tons of food from going to waste.

The food system is one of the most environmentally intensive industries in the world, emitting more greenhouse gases than India. Snact makes delicious snacks from surplus food produce to fight food waste. They buy ugly, unwanted fruit from british farmers and pack-houses and use home compostable packaging to reduce plastic waste. Initially launched on a do-it-yourself scale in a rented kitchen in Hackney, Snact's products can now be found in offices, schools, and retailers across the U.K., including Ocado, Planet Organic, and Selfridges. To date, Snact has saved over 200 tons of food from going to waste. Their wholesome fruit jerky and banana bars are packed with all the nutrition of flawless fruit and made with simple, high quality ingredients. Snact's mission is to build a global movement of "Snactivists" to create a deliciously sustainable food future.
