Vertical Future ("VF") is a London-based, global vertical farming technology & data company, founded in 2016. The company designs, manufactures, and builds fully integrated, autonomous vertical farms that, once operational, become smarter over time through VF's unique SaaS solution, DIANA. VF's ultimate goal is to improve the health of people and planet, and this goes beyond food. VF's team of over 60 staff, split across engineering, software engineering, plant sciences, and operations, has worked on projects, builds, and research within food/retail, pharma, alternative proteins, reforestation, and carbon sequestration. As a Global Innovator in the World Economic Forum and many other organisations and initiatives, VF is globally-recognised as one of the leaders in controlled-environment-agriculture technologies and research.

Notable Achievements

  • Initially taking a full debenture on all the founder's assets, VF has since raised approximately $50m to date to Series B stage
  • Most integrated vertical farming technology globally, including building of a manufacturing facility & three diverse teams
  • The VF plant science team has won 12 innovate UK grants in the past ~2 years alone, demonstrating industry leadership
