Ali has more than 25 years experience leading growth, brand & strategy across consumer, retail & technology companies. Drawn to disruption, Ali has split her career between building venture & PE-backed growth companies & transforming within larger, public companies. She is passionate about working to solve big consumer problems -- particularly around "food is health."
Ali is currently CEO of Oobli, Inc., a venture-backed food biotechnology company leveraging precision fermentation to transform diabetes/obesity. Prior to Oobli, Ali was the Chief Consumer Offier for Bright Health, a venture-backed health technology services company as the company grew from $200M to more than $2B in revenues. Ali founded & led giggle, Inc., an omni-channel retailer & manufacturer of better-for-you consider products for kids with ~700 retail locations. Early in her career, Ali worked for Nike progressing through brand management & corporate development roles followed by several years in the Silicon Valley leading growth, brand & product across a variety of technology companies.
In addition to being an operating leader, Ali serves as a director on the boards of Oobli, Spring Foods (a private equity-backed CPG company focused on better-for-you baked goods) & Casey's General Stores (NASDAQ: CASY)(a retail/CPG/QSR company across the United States). Previously, Ali served as a director for Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV)(the largest ratings & reviews platfrom across 5,000 brand & retail websites). Ali recently retired from her 10-year service on the board of Worldwide Orphans (WWO)(a nonprofit working to help improve the lives of children across 5 countries through their proprietary "Element of Play" developmental program), where she ran the Executive Committee.
Ali practiced law as a corporate securities attorney, has her JD/MBA from Northwestern University, is a member of the invite-only PTTOW! Community & the Fast Company Impact Council, & has been recognized by Women's Inc. among it's Top 100 Corporate Board of Directors.
