Daniel is a technologist, geo-information scientist, agricultural economist and an entrepreneur. He has spent the last 17 years working at the nexus of development, entrepreneurship, and science. As CEO of Esoko, Africa’s largest pioneering technology provider for agricultural and rural supply chains, Daniel advocates for increased digitization of rural African economies. He bridges the gap between farmer realities and technological innovations and has a unique ability to translate technological solutions to solve problems affecting BoP actors. Beyond developing high-tech solutions to solve rural problems, Daniel is also a serial entrepreneur and has set up two agribusinesses, Eucharia Farms Limited and Adinkra Frontiers. Eucharia develops low-entry cost technologies for fruit drying, while Adinkra aims to become the largest integrated poultry enterprise in West Africa disruprting the poultry value chain with sustainable production systems and circular economic models. Daniel is a fellow of the United Nations University-EHS and has a doctorate degree in Agricultural Economics, a double master’s degree in Geo-Information Science from the University of Twente, The Netherlands, and a first-class bachelor’s in Agricultural Economics.
