As Co-Founder and long-time CEO of the Savory Institute, she shaped its global strategy and network to confront biodiversity loss and climate change through the holistic management of grasslands. During her tenure she founded Land to Market, the world’s first outcomes-based verified regenerative sourcing solution for food and fashion companies. In 2025, she transitioned to become the Chair and Managing Director of the Europe-based Savory Foundation, founded in 2023, where she stewards the mobilization of catalytic and institutional capital into its global portfolio of large-scale, high-integrity nature projects.
With 30+ years of cross-cultural, on-the-ground experience and academic training in agronomy, natural resource economics, conflict resolution, holistic management, and systems innovation, Daniela bridges science, practice, and markets to design strategies that heal ecosystems at scale.Her influence extends through advisory roles with leading initiatives including the 4 per 1000 Initiative, Club of Rome, Climate KIC, the UN Global Sustainable Livestock Coalition, Ashoka’s Bioregional Weaving Labs, Slow Money, and the Business of Fashion. In 2018, she was honored with Conscious Company’s Top Conscious Business Leaders Award in the Global Impact Thinker category. Daniela has two daughters, Savanna and Mia.
