Paul Breloff is the co-founder and CEO of Shortlist, a talent advisory firm offering executive search for leadership hiring at African startups and social enterprises scale their hiring, and driving workforce enablement programs to help young people access career on-ramps in climate, clean energy, and tech. Since launch in 2016, Shortlist has worked with 1,000+ companies and 1,500,000+ jobseekers across 30 countries. Before Shortlist, Paul was the founder and managing director of Accion Venture Lab, leading fintech venture fund investing globally. Prior to that, Paul worked with SKS Microfinance, India's largest microfinance institution, leading a team of 20 in Hyderabad on business development, product, and strategic partnerships. Paul has also advised CGAP, Root Capital, Shell Foundation, BRAC, and others on access-to-finance issues globally; practiced corporate law with Mayer Brown; and worked as an advertising account executive for Leo Burnett. He is also an active angel investor and one of the founding members of Nairobi Business Angels, and is an advisor to two VC funds investing across emerging markets at the nexus of edtech, jobtech, and fintech. He lives in Nairobi.
