SOGO Energy is a decentralized integrated infrastructure company serving rural communities with affordable valued-added services powered by clean energy. The company's services includes investing in local entrepreneurs and partnering with them on management, technology, and funding to to foster vibrant and sustainable ecosystems, enabling investors to create scalable businesses. The company's first offering is "irrigation as a service" in Cambodia via its subsidiary, Pteah Baitong. The company has built 2 pilot solar-powered pumping stations along the Mekong River offering irrigation to local smallholder farmers. In Africa SOGO invested and partnered with Equatorial Power, a similar decentralized integrated infrastructure company. Equatorial Power designs, installs and operates solar minigrids and productive hubs used to offer multiple products and services to its customers in Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania and Rwanda.
