Jeffrey Char is a serial entrepreneur and investor. He is CEO of SOGO Energy, a distributed utility serving rural communities with affordable valued-added services powered by clean energy. Prior to this, he was Founder and Chairman of TRENDE and Director of Corporate Venture Capital at Tokyo Electric Power Company. He is also a professor teaching about entrepreneurship at business schools in Japan, Spain, Cambodia and Thailand. Jeff founded and sold several companies including an online marketing company, a domain registrar, a printed circuit board manufacturer, and a network security venture. He was formerly an attorney in Silicon Valley and investment banker in Tokyo. He studied economics at Sophia University and law at the University of California, Berkeley and Harvard Law School.
